Claudine Gagnon is an engineer at Suncor’s Montreal refinery. While she is deeply involved with three active young sons, she also wants career challenge and personal growth. She has found Suncor to be supportive of her career development as well as her need to attend to the very important small things in life.

Ana Sanchez, originally from Venezuela, began at Suncor as an engineer and today is the process development manager for the company’s TRO process. TRO is a new technology for tailings management that Ana believes will change the way industry works with tailings – shortening the recovers tailings operations from approximately 34 years to 10 or less.

Jean Beaudin is an engineer at Suncor’s Montreal refinery. He originally joined Petro-Canada and through the 2009 merger, became a Suncor employee. He loves the challenge and opportunities of his role, as well as working with the Montreal team and others across the company.

Andrea Parrell is a subsea engineer at Suncor, working in St. Johns, Newfoundland. Her responsibilities encompass the integrity of equipment deep underwater, as well as leadership on new projects. Andrea believes that Suncor holds as many opportunities for her as she is willing to take on, and finds her job with the company very rewarding.

Mike Thornton says that he learns something new every day at Suncor’s Sarnia refinery. He looks forward to future changes in his role so that he can learn more. He has had three mentors in seven years and appreciates the career advice he gets from seasoned professionals. But most of all, he appreciates the company’s integrity.

Hsiu-yan Chan has worked in supply chain management, engineering, maintenance and operations in her first eight years at Suncor’s Sarnia refinery. She appreciates being able to work with a variety of people both at the Sarnia location and across the company. And, she’s proud to be able to go to a Petro-Canada station and see the product she’s helped produce.

Brett Regier believes in mentorship. He knows that Suncor needs people and feels personally accountable for passing on what he knows to new employees joining the company. Brett is responsible for drilling and service rigs, as well as roads and access to sites — and loves the challenge his job offers.
