supporting the causes I care about
SunCares Employee Programs

Our employees are passionate and proud about giving back to the communities where they live and work. Their involvement makes a difference in helping to build sustainable communities.

Communities benefit from the skills, knowledge and participation of our employees. But our employees also benefit by learning new skills and knowledge that help to foster their career and development goals.

The SunCares Employee Program engages our employees in their community through the following ways:

Volunteer Program
Volunteerism has long been a part of how employees contribute to the community. A variety of tools and resources are available to support them in volunteer opportunities, either as an individual, as part of a team or through a Suncor-sponsored event. Find volunteering opportunities that interest you through our online program.

Grants Program
Employees and retirees are active in their community in a variety of ways. That's why there are a variety of grants available for them to direct to the causes they care about. Despite the current low-price crude environment, Suncor remains committed to the SunCares employee grants program as a key opportunity to continue to support employee community involvement. All eligible applications will continue to be honoured.

Apply through our online application form. The following grants are available to employees and retirees:

Karen Reimer is Manager, Contracts for Renewable Energy. She also volunteers for Alberta Dance Theatre for Young People.

James McLean is a senior advisor in Strategic Planning for Refining and Marketing. He also volunteers with the Mississauga Public Library.

Jocelyn Lacroix is a coordinator, external services for Refining and Marketing. He also volunteers with the Saint-Hubert Minor Baseball Association.
