Calgary, Alberta (Oct. 7, 2013) — Suncor Energy reports it has safely completed its planned maintenance on the vacuum unit of one of the two oil sands upgraders (U2) and associated utilities at its oil sands operations near Fort McMurray, Alberta.
The planned maintenance began September 4 and was scheduled to last approximately four to five weeks. During this period, the U2 complex was partially shut down.
Suncor’s planned maintenance program supports the safe, reliable operation of upgrading assets. Production impact has been factored into Suncor’s annual guidance.
