Canada's vast boreal forest covers one-third of the country and contains one of the world's largest intact ecosystems. It also is home to a number of important industries, including Suncor's oil sands and natural gas businesses. Alberta Conservation Association (ACA) and the Suncor Energy Foundation have been recognized by Imagine Canada for their conservation offset initiative in the boreal forest.
