Maureen McCaw was elected to Suncor’s Board of Directors in 2004. She is the chair of the environment, health, safety and sustainable development committee and is a member of the audit committee.
Ms. McCaw was a director of Petro-Canada and is past executive vice president of Canada’s largest privately held market research firm, Leger Marketing, formerly Criterion Research Corp., a company she founded in 1986.
Ms. McCaw is a director of the Francis Winspear Centre for Music and the Edmonton Symphony, the Nature Conservancy of Canada and the Royal Alexandra Hospital Foundation Social Enterprise Company. She is also past chair of the Edmonton International Airport and the Edmonton Chamber of Commerce and has previously served as chair of the CBC Pension Fund Plan board of trustees and on the board of directors of the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation.
Ms. McCaw holds a bachelor of arts from the University of Alberta, has completed the Columbia Business School’s executive program in financial accounting, and has an Institute of Corporate Directors designation (ICD.D).
