Petro-Canada Appoints Regional Manager for East Coast Canada Operations
ST. JOHN'S, NEWFOUNDLAND & LABRADOR--(Marketwire - June 19, 2007) - Petro-Canada is pleased to announce the appointment of Alan Brown as Regional Manager of its East Coast Canada offshore oil production business, headquartered in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador. Mr. Brown joins Petro-Canada with more than 25 years of progressive North Sea and international experience in managing all aspects of large, complex offshore oil and gas projects, including project management, engineering, operations and business planning.
Mr. Brown's career includes more than 21 years with ExxonMobil, where he served in a number of senior management roles. Most recently, he was the Manager, U.K. Operations responsible for ExxonMobil's northern and southern North Sea assets and the St. Fergus gas plant. His work history also includes an assignment in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador in 1996/97 when he was the General Manager, Operations and Engineering responsible for the startup of the Hibernia platform.

Mr. Brown will begin work in St. John's in early July 2007, where he will have accountability to manage all of Petro-Canada's offshore production assets on the East Coast.
