Suncor Energy reports oil sands hydrogen unit outage
CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - Aug. 20, 2010) - Suncor Energy Inc. reports that one of its hydrogen reformer units at its oil sands base plant in Fort McMurray, Alberta, experienced an outage. An assessment is currently underway to determine the cause of the outage and a schedule to return the unit to operation.
Although the production mix of low- and high-sulphur products will be impacted while the unit is undergoing repairs, oil sands production continues to be more than 300,000 barrels per day.
