Extractive Sector Transparency Measures Act (ESTMA)

The Extractive Sector Transparency Measures Act (the Act) was enacted by the Government of Canada on December 16, 2014, and effective on June 1, 2015. The Act requires entities that are subject to Canadian law and engaged in the extraction of oil, natural gas or minerals to report payments, on an annual basis, made to all governments in Canada and abroad.
