Licence agreement
The logo and visual identity which you have requested to download (the “Logo”) is the property of Syncrude Canada Ltd. ("Syncrude") and subject to applicable copyright and trademark laws. Subject to your agreement by downloading these logos, , Syncrude grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, royalty free, personal license to reproduce and copy the Logo in conjunction with or inclusion in:
- newspaper and magazine articles, or television programs or segments which relate or refer to Syncrude; or
- reports, brochures or other documents prepared at the request of Syncrude.
- any other materials for which written permission to use the Logo has been obtained from Suncor’s Creative Services or Legal Team.
Except as permitted in this license, you shall not otherwise modify, use, copy, reproduce, republish, upload, post, transmit or distribute in any way the Logo. Without limiting the foregoing, this license does not permit any use by you of the Logo in conjunction with or relating to wares or services manufactured, sold, leased, hired, performed, distributed or advertised by you. You are not permitted to use the Logo in a manner that will diminish or otherwise damage Syncrude’s goodwill in the Logo as determined by Syncrude at its sole discretion.
Use of the Logo must be in strict compliance with the Syncrude brand and visual identity guidelines. Without limiting the foregoing, you agree the Logo elements shall not be altered and no new elements shall be added.

This License Agreement does not grant by implication, estoppel, or otherwise, any license to any Syncrude technology or proprietary rights other than use of the Logo permitted herein. Syncrude reserves the right to terminate this license at any time. Upon termination all rights as set out in this license shall cease and you shall permanently erase or destroy all copies of the Logo in your possession. Syncrude makes no warranties regarding the Logo. You will indemnify Syncrude and hold Syncrude harmless from and against any and all claims which a third party may assert against Syncrude by reason, or as a consequence, of your use of the Logo, except to the extent such use by you was for inclusion in reports, brochures or other documents prepared at the request of Syncrude. In this license, references to “you” mean you personally or, if you are acting within the scope or course of your employment, “you” includes your employer. This agreement is governed by the laws and courts of the Province of Alberta, Canada.
By downloading the Logo you are agreeing to be bound by the terms and conditions of this license.
