At Suncor’s Contractor Safety Symposium in Fort McMurray, leaders and nearly 200 executives from 60 contractor partner organizations came together to share perspectives, strengthen relationships and reinforce their collective commitment to safe workplaces.
Centred on the theme Together for Tomorrow: Evolving Our Contractor Relationships for a Safer, Stronger Future, the symposium encouraged open dialogue between Suncor and contractor partners on the critical role each plays in planning and executing work safely.
Throughout the day, participants explored how learning from the people closest to the work can help identify risks early, improve decision-making and strengthen safety performance across the organization.
In her opening remarks, Sylvie Tran, Vice President, Environment, Health & Safety, emphasized the importance of creating conditions where workers feel comfortable and supported.
