- In situ production is expected to grow by 30,000 barrels per day by 2028, surpassing 300,000 barrels per day across Firebag and MacKay River.
- Nearly $400 million in additional annual cash flow expected by 2028.
- Proven technologies and repeatable designs will support future growth and value creation.
By 2028, in situ production is expected to increase by 30,000 barrels per day, surpassing 300,000 barrels per day across our Firebag and MacKay River sites.
The growth will come from a combination of increased non-condensable gas co-injection, additional infill drilling, solvent technology and continued Firebag debottlenecking.
Together, these advancements are expected to generate close to $400 million in additional cash flow each year by 2028.
Future growth will take a "design one, build many" approach. By standardizing and replicating design plans while capturing unique regional integration synergies, teams can increase efficiency per phase, lower costs, and enhance performance.
This growth reinforces Suncor's ability to compete, innovate and create value in the in situ space for years to come.
