Portfolio update:

On October 4, 2026, Suncor announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to sell its 48% interest in Terra Nova, 40% interest in White Rose and 38.6% interest in West White Rose offshore assets to Ithaca Energy plc (Ithaca). The transaction has an effective date of July 1, 2026 and is expected to close in early 2027, subject to customary closing conditions, regulatory approvals and partner consents. Suncor will retain its interests in Hebron and Hibernia.

White Rose

Based in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador, this aspect of our business focuses on high-volume production from four existing offshore fields, interests in future developments and expansions, and exploration drilling for new opportunities in the Atlantic Ocean.

We operate the Terra Nova oil field located on the Grand Banks, 350 kilometres southeast of St. John’s, Nfld. Terra Nova can employ more than 1,200 people when both drilling and production operations are underway.
