For more than 20 years, Suncor has been part of Newfoundland and Labrador’s offshore energy industry, with hundreds of our employees living in communities across the province.
Our efforts focus on supporting health and safety, strengthening education and workforce development and investing in community and culture initiatives that matter locally.
Community and culture
Suncor supports Home Again Furniture Bank’s work to reduce furniture poverty across Newfoundland and Labrador. By redistributing gently used furniture, the organization helps families create safe, comfortable homes at a critical time.
Each year, Home Again furnishes more than 500 homes, offering dignity, stability and a stronger foundation for daily life.
Health and safety
Suncor joined energy partners across Newfoundland and Labrador to support Young Adult Cancer Canada through the Energy Shave for the Brave. The collective effort raised $295,000 in 2025 to help expand mental health services and peer support for young adults impacted by cancer.
The initiative helped support more than 1,200 individuals across the province.
Education and workforce development
Through support for Kids Eat Smart, Suncor helps ensure students across Newfoundland and Labrador start the school day nourished and ready to learn. Each school day, more than 46,000 meals are served through 275 Kids Eat Smart Clubs, supporting focus, attendance and participation.
Together, these programs help reduce barriers to learning and strengthen outcomes for students across the province.
