Project overview
The Tank 2006 and Tank 3201 Vapor Control project is designed to control opacity from the tank roof vents and reduce emissions intensity of particulate matter (PM), volatile organic compounds (VOCs), and hydrogen sulfide (H₂S) through the installation of new vapor collection and control systems on Tank 2006 and Tank 3201, existing asphalt storage tanks. These tanks are used to store paving and roofing asphalts produced on site.
Each dedicated control system will include a filtration system and an activated carbon adsorption bed, which are proven technologies for capturing and reducing air pollutants from asphalt storage tanks. This project will help ensure compliance with federal air quality standards.
