Terminals at a glance

Suncor owns and operates 13 major refined product terminals across Canada, including terminals adjacent to refineries. We also have three product terminals in Colorado, USA.

Refined products are delivered to and shipped from these terminals via pipelines, trucks, rail and marine vessels.

These terminals are essential for the distribution of petroleum products used by many citizens and industries in the regions they serve.

Burrard terminal

Located on the west coast of British Columbia, our Burrard Products Terminal is situated on 430 acres of land of which 175 acres are used for terminal operations.

The Upper Terminal, located in Port Moody, contains the fuel processing units, main tank farm and the fuel blending facilities. The Middle Terminal is located on the south side of the Barnet Highway in Burnaby. It contains the secondary tank farm and truck facilities. The Lower Terminal is located in Burnaby, Port Moody and along the Burrard Inlet. It contains marine and rail facilities. Gasoline, diesel, jet fuel, ethanol, and biodiesel arrive at the terminal via pipeline, marine tankers, trucks and rail.

The Burrard Terminal has a total export capacity of 40 mbbls/d.

Rimouski terminal

The Rimouski products terminal which includes six above-ground storage tanks, an underground slop tank is situated on three acres (1.2 hectares) of land located on the east end of Rimouski, Quebec.

Gasoline and diesel arrive at the terminal tank farm via a one-kilometre pipeline from the Rimouski Harbour dock. Product can also be received via truck into the facility storage tanks.

Storage and light oil truck loading is available for Suncor and exchange agreement partners in the Gaspé Peninsula / Lower St. Lawrence area.
