Types of funding available
Suncor Energy Foundation proudly contribute to registered charitable organizations that align with SEF’s funding priorities: Indigenous, community and energy. Before applying, please review the details of these priorities.
Additional charitable donations are also made through the Petro-Canada CareMakers Foundation™.
We support activities and events that align with business interests through sponsorships and donations (including donations to organizations that do not have charitable status), financial assistance, in-kind contributions, product donations, and event sponsorships.
Suncor Energy Foundation’s funding priorities are applicable to many of these donations, and a limited number of other sponsorships are considered by the Suncor brand management team.
We invest in our local communities by addressing community issues in ways that seek solutions and benefits for all.
For more information about the kinds of causes supported in this category, visit the local giving page.
Suncor Energy Foundation’s donation program for Canadian post-secondary institutions is called “Reducing Barriers and Driving Innovation.” This program was created to further support SEF’s existing funding priorities, and reduce or eliminate barriers to participation for students and community members while supporting society to be a more fair and sustainable economic system.Apply for post-secondary funding online
