Types of funding available

Charitable donations

Suncor Energy Foundation proudly contributes to registered charitable organizations that align with SEF’s funding priorities: Indigenous, community and energy. Before applying, please review the details of these priorities.

Sponsorships

We support activities and events that align with business interests through sponsorships and donations (including donations to organizations that do not have charitable status), financial assistance, in-kind contributions, product donations, and event sponsorships.

Suncor Energy Foundation’s funding priorities are applicable to many of these donations, and a limited number of other sponsorships are considered by the Suncor brand management team.

Local giving

We invest in the local communities in which we operate by addressing community issues in ways that seek solutions and benefits for all. When our communities do well, we do well. We all benefit from a strong economy, a well-educated workforce, and healthy communities where our employees and families enjoy a good quality of life and want to settle for the long-term.
