Dave Oldreive is Executive Vice President, Downstream, responsible for refining, sales & marketing, midstream logistics, and supply, trading & optimization at Suncor.
Mr. Oldreive has more than 30 years of energy industry experience, including extensive experience in refining. Before joining Suncor in 2023, Mr. Oldreive was the refinery manager at ExxonMobil’s Baton Rouge refinery where he was responsible for all aspects of the safe, reliable and profitable operations of the refinery with a production of 540,000 barrel of oil equivalent per day.
Through his career with ExxonMobil and Imperial Oil working in Canada, the United States and Singapore, Mr. Oldreive had a variety of roles in engineering, operations, supply, and business support functions with increasing responsibility. He is known for delivering operational excellence and enhanced competitiveness as well as for strengthening culture and leadership.
Mr. Oldreive holds a mechanical engineering degree from Dalhousie University and a master of business administration from Saint Mary’s University.
