Peter Zebedee is Suncor's President and Chief Financial Officer, responsible for all of the company’s non-operating functions.
Mr. Zebedee has more than 25 years of industry and executive leadership experience, including time as Chief Executive Officer of LNG Canada as well as VP Canada Manufacturing and General Manager, Scotford Refinery with Shell Canada. Throughout his career, he has worked across the Canadian energy industry value chain in a variety of technical and operational positions of increasing responsibility, including engineering, operations and corporate assignments.
Mr. Zebedee joined Suncor in 2022 as Executive Vice President, Upstream, where he drove safety, production and cost improvements across upstream operations, delivering record business results and enhancing competitiveness.
Mr. Zebedee holds a bachelor of applied science degree in geological engineering from the University of British Columbia. He is also Chair of the Energy Safety Canada Board, sits on the Board of Directors for the Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers (CAPP) and is a member of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta.
